The MT C Force has now joined Monjasa’s fleet working from PBUK Terminal at Portland, she will be covering bunker supplies throughout the UK and all Northern France ports. With her large cargo capacity of 10,885 cubic meters and high loading and discharge rates, she is a welcome addition to the Monjasa bunker fleet.

EXERCISE 'COLD HARBOUR' 

 

Exercise 'Cold Harbour' was a first table top exercise conducted at Portland Bunkers UK, on 31st October 2017, observing the external (off-site) arrangements for this COMAH upper tier establishment.  

  

The exercise brought together a wealth of multi-agency expertise drawn from the Dorset Local Resilience Forum (DLRF). The exercise identified a number of lessons in relation to the external plan, and the potential emergency response to an incident affecting this site.

SECOND LOADING BERTH AT PBUK 

 

Portland Bunkers UK Ltd aspire to give our customers the most effective delivery methods with uninterrupted product access. 

  

This was accomplished by creating a second loading berth, enhancing our supply capabilities. This enables PBUK to supply bunker barges and customer vessels, while simultaneously receiving imports to our storage tanks, keeping delays to an absolute minimum.

CRUISE VESSEL NORWEGIAN JADE SUPPLY OCP BERTH PORTLAND PORT 

 

Monjasa Bunker Barge MT Monjasa Provider, Supplied Cruise Vessel Norwegian Jade on May the 24th 2017 alongside OCP Berth in Portland Harbour.  

  

This is Monjasa’s First Cruise vessel Supply at Portland, but with more than 25 further cruise vessels scheduled to arrive in Portland this year, this may be the start of many more Bunker supplies to cruise vessels in Portland.

IMO 2020 

 

The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has ruled that from 1 January 2020, the limit for sulphur in fuel oil used on board ships operating outside of the designated emission control areas will be reduced to 0.50% m/m (mass by mass), from the current 3.50% m/m.

Once in every quarter Portland Bunkers UK deploy our oil spill containment and recovery equipment. Twice a year, we join forces with Portland Harbour Authority to test and prove all our combined equipment and knowledge in a full-scale Oil Spill Exercise.

To spot UHP Blast corroded areas on the Tubes, Walkways, Jetty Bridge Sides, Jetty Bridge Stiffeners and the RSJ’s on the underside of the Jetty Bridge to remove rust from areas that need attention.
